Master of Magic has a decent graphic design, which in some areas was created practically from scratch. The basis of the gameplay is the single player mode. In Master of Magic we can play exclusively alone. We also have at our disposal a huge number (nearly two hundred) of different units, with often fantastic creatures known from books or movies, such as orcs, elves or dragons.Īs we progress through the game, our character becomes stronger and stronger - we can gain one of dozens of special abilities, as well as find and equip more than two hundred magic items. In clashes with enemies we can use dozens of special abilities and several hundred spells divided into five schools. We spend most of our time observing a strategic map divided into hexes (hexagons - this is a change from the original game, which used a map with a grid of squares superimposed on it) and making decisions on unit movements. We do this by using magic and controlled armies. Then our main task is to take control of two parallel worlds - Arcanus and Myrror.
We start the game by choosing a mage - we have a dozen different characters at our disposal. Master of Magic is a classic 4X strategy game. The original title was developed by SimTex, while the Polish company MuHa Games is responsible for creating the refreshed version. The remake introduces major changes in the visuals and some improvements in the gameplay layer. In this production we play the role of a powerful mage, who heads an army full of fantastic creatures. Master of Magic is a remake of the 1994 strategy game of the same title.
